dead_in_iraqDunno if it's really sincere in honouring soldiers killed in the Iraq War, but it's an interesting concept. Having said that, the idea behind Americas Army Sim is a little bit sinister IMO.

Personally, I like Wikipedia - granted, it's not the most accurate, definitive reference on the web, but it's a bloody useful tool for finding out about stuff quickly (and the range of things it knows about is positively amazing - I looked up which tram I should catch to get to Essendon the other day). Now, comes Wookieepedia... wonder if I can look up how to get to Tatooine from St Kilda?

A prostitute went to visit a colleague in the hospital just before she was about to have a heart transplant.
The woman, concerned about her friend's welfare, went up to the surgeon who was going to perform the operation and said, "Doctor, I'm worried about my friend. What if her body rejects the organ?"
The doctor replied, "Well, she's 34 years old and is in extremely good health, apart from her heart. How long has she been in the business?"
The patient's friend replied, "She's been working since she was 18 years old, but what's that got to do with anything?"
"Well," said the doctor, "if she's been working for 16 years and hasn't rejected an organ, I don't think she's about to start now!"

Sun Microsystems in for a world of hurt?
Sun CEO McNealy resignsScott McNealy has
resigned his position as CEO of Sun Microsystems. His
resignation, which has been rumored for months, comes in the wake of
the company's reporting disappointing earnings for the third quarter
of the fiscal year. Sun announced losses of US$217 million, or 6¢
per share, on revenues of US$3.18 billion. It's a serious downturn
from last year, which saw a loss of US$28 million during the same
quarter.
McNealy was one of the cofounders of Sun in 1982, and took over
the CEO role in 1984. He will stay on as Chairman of the Board,
while current president Jonathan Schwartz will step into the CEO
office.Apparently so....

Warriors of the future will 'taste' battlefieldPENSACOLA, Florida (AP) -- In their
quest to create the super warrior of the future, some military
researchers aren't focusing on organs like muscles or hearts. They're
looking at tongues.
By routing signals from helmet-mounted
cameras, sonar and other equipment through the tongue to the brain,
they hope to give elite soldiers superhuman senses similar to owls,
snakes and fish.Freaky. So I wonder if the human race will *survive* long enough to develop yet an another kick-ass technology for the purposes of wiping each other out? Sounds like a FarCry moment to me...

Serg now has a blog. It sucks. Not because it's boring or anything... it sucks because Serg writes it. :-D (now, let's see if I get some abuse when he reads this post) Btw, it also sucks because it cannot be found: <snip> Request Timeout This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server.
